At the end of each year I enjoy looking back through all my projects to see what were the most popular for readers from that particular year. Looking through the analytics is kinda fun.
It’s also a great way to remind myself of what you enjoyed the most, and for new subscribers to get a chance to see some projects that they may have missed.
So here are the top 10 projects for 2017.
#9: This cheap and cheerful Electrical Tape Faux Tile Backsplash was such a fun and easy project, and it saved a lot of mess because I avoided removing the existing tiles.
#8: My hubby found the perfect recipe book for my decoupaged kitchen counters. When I first did the project I thought it would be temporary, but I’ve since decided to keep it permanently.
#7: It’s always fun to find new ways of making pumpkins, and this past fall I made this flannel pumpkin trio.
#6: Spray painting is one of my favourite things to do because it’s such a quick way to give things a completely new look, like these spray painted picture frames. I share some tips in this post to make this an easy project.
#5: It seems that my readers enjoy it when I do something just a little bit crazy, and that’s so great because I enjoy it too. I also love having a mix of patterns in a room, and this decoupaged table makeover added a nice floral element that I wanted in my kitchen.
#4: For the chair makeover I used a $2 thrifted tablecloth. Chairs like these, with removable seats, are the easiest when it comes to recovering.
#3: I have a thing for rolling pins and have quite the thrifted collection. I’m always looking for ways to repurpose them and my rolling pin window valance was the most popular project that came out of my kitchen makeover. It was also one of the first… and really got the makeover rolling. haha.
#2: Making garden art and wind chimes is one of my favourite things to do, and every summer I make a few more creations for our gardens… like this license plate wind chime using souvenir spoons of places that we’ve visited over the years.
#1: And my repurposed folding streamer/strainer flowers was the most popular project of the year. These flowers add a touch of fun and colour to my hosta garden, and I think I’ll be making more of these in the future.
Now these were the most viewed projects of 2017 that were done in 2017, but there were a few projects from previous years that received more views than these.
My most viewed projects during 2017 were my How To Make A Garden Art Dish Flower from 2015, and Setting the Garden with Plate Flowers from 2012, and How to Make a Garden Plate Flower Wind Chime from 2016.
Apparently my readers really like garden art projects. It makes me wish I didn’t have only the warmer months to create them, but winter is a fact of life here. It does make me appreciate the warmer months all the more.
I hope you enjoyed my Top 10 Projects of 2017. I’m looking so forward to sharing more home decor and garden projects in 2018, and I just want to say thank you so much for your continued readership and support.
I’m really hoping that the coming year will be the best year yet here at TRV with loads of projects and inspiration.
Please pin it and share.
Thanks again for reading, and until next time…
keep on keepin’ on!
