Happy Thursday friends, and welcome to another edition of Funtabulous Finds. I don’t have anything to share for what should be What the Heck Thursday, but I do have some cool finds.
So what the heck, here they are. 🙂
I have a thing for old beat up chairs so I couldn’t resist this set of prints. I suspect they’re not very old, but that’s ok. They were just $3 each and they have a great look.
I’m not a wood girl so I really need to paint the frames.
I’m thinking red or aqua to so I can hang them in my kitchen. What do you think?
They’re signed Diane Arthurs. I tried to do some google research but I didn’t find anything.
I can never pass up silverware and these silver plate butter knives were just $1 for all. They’ll be added to my stash for future repurposing, as will the tea strainer.
The $1 antique copy of Uncle Tom’s Cabin is a keeper. It’s a little banged up on the outside, but that doesn’t bother me.
I’m sure I’d be a little banged up too if I was 116 years old.
There are days when I feel pretty banged up now and I’m only 56. lol.
I love saying ‘only’ 56, makes me feel like a youngin’. 🙂
I’ve been looking for more everyday china to go with the vintage Corelle set that I found a while ago.
I love the crisp clean white with the lovely watercolour flowers.
When I turned it over and saw that if was made in France I knew I had to have them. Arcopal is sort of the French version of corelle.
This 12 piece set (4 large dinner plates, 4 side plates, and 4 bowls) was just $5… so it was a no brainer.
The scallopped edging is so pretty.
I can never pass up silver plate pieces when they’re cheap, and these were.
The $2 EP Brass Rogers creamer and sugar will be used in a repurposed wind chime… and the 50 cent Made in Italy salt and pepper shaker set will be kept in my stash for future projects.
They’re too big for my mini collection and the grinding part of the pepper mill doesn’t work.
And just when I thought I might run out of space to display my mini salt & pepper collection I find this cute $1 little shelf. It will be getting a much needed makeover.
I could hear it calling to me from the other end of the thrift store. Buy me… Buy me.
So what could I do? I had no choice really. 🙂
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. lol. Does that ever happen to you?
Thanks so much for reading, and until next time…
keep on keepin’ on!
