Happy Thursday friends, and welcome to another edition of What the Heck Is It?
In the last What the Heck? I was quite surprised to discover from your comments that this interesting kitchen gadget was a butter curler, and could be used as a chocolate curler too.
I have yet to try it because I’ve been so busy happily painting for my kitchen makeover, but I certainly will.
Thanks to everyone for your comments.
I picked up this week’s mystery item at a nearby Salvation Army store for $1.
This old beauty’s aged and kinda beaten up patina got me.
It’s about 6″ across and 4 ” high with the lid on.
Check out all the beautiful details on the lid…
… and that detailing continues on the sides and the frames around the six little windows.
There’s a little flower mark with a Y inside it on the bottom, and it’s also marked Made in Japan.
Both parts have a good weight to them, and they sit on 3 sweet little feet.
What the heck it it? Any ideas?
Thanks so much for reading and until next time…
keep on keepin’ on!
