They still have some of the silver glitter inside them from that project, but that’s just fine.
To make the angels I also needed some vintage Christmas sheet music (thanks Donna), a couple of small ornaments, some Christmas beads, and a glue gun.
I outlined some angel wings on the sheet music using a craft butterfly as a guide.
I cut out 2 sets of wings in three sizes. To make the 2 smaller sizes I simply used the large outline as a guide and marked the smaller sizes inside that with a pencil.
I placed the three sets one of top of the other and stapled them together.
I filled the salt & pepper with the hot pink and white beading, and glued on the ornaments.
Then I glued on the wings.
For the white angel I used some pretty edging from my stash, and a silver key ring halo.
For the hot pink angel I used a couple of pieces of lace, and a brass washer for the halo.
And here they are together. If you look closely you can see the word angel on the back right wing of the hot pink angel. That was a happy accident.
You can also see the sparkle of the silver glitter mixed with the beading, and I think that adds a little extra something. I thought about adding glitter to the edges of the wings too, but I kinda love the sheet music au natural.
