Every once in awhile I’ll be showing off my best recently thrifted finds. It may be just one incredible find, several, or many, depending on how my week goes. Some will be headed for makeovers, and some will stay just the way they are.
These two decorative brackets are ceramic. They could be bookends or shelf supports. This set was $1.
I found this lovely fluted ceramic bowl at the RE-Store for $2 and I fell in love with it. I know exactly what I’m going to do with it. You may be able to guess what I’ll be using this for, if not, you’ll just have to wait and see.
I already have projects in mind for these three metal teapots. I found the stainless steel teapot at a local flea market for $2, and the copper and gold tone teapots are from two different Salvation Army stores and were $1 each.
I have no idea what I’m doing with these columns but I knew they’d be good for something someday. They were $1 for the pair at my local thrift store.
A few weeks ago I mentioned in a post that I needed a lazy susan to help with my smaller spray painting projects. Here’s a vintage set of lazy susans that I found at my local thrift store for $2. I love the rose embossing. I’ll be turning the smaller one into something else. I’ll be using the larger one, which is about 20″ across, until I find a replacement. Then it’s also destined to be upcycled into something else.
I’ve been looking for a non-plastic waste basket for my upstairs bathroom for some time now. I just found this stainless steel one for $4. A little pricey I thought, but I’ve been looking for so long that I thought I’d better grab it. I know exactly how I’m going to spruce this up.
And last, but not least, these two wooden picture frames from the dump. No kidding. Free! They were just sitting on the top of garbage bags and didn’t even need much cleaning. They’re identical, but the silver detailing on the one is long gone. These are ripe for a makeover!
So I’m going to be busy for the next while with some of these makeovers. Yay! I can’t wait to get some of them posted!
