Today, I’m sharing my secret on how to give a wooden wheelbarrow planter a distressed look in seven easy-to-follow steps.
Find an old beaten up wooden wheelbarrow that looks like its on its last legs. John found this one for me at a second hand store.
Stick it in your new water heater box for spray painting with Rustoleum’s Aqua.
Drill some holes in the bottom for drainage and plant with pretty pink geraniums and sweet potato vine.
Leave it outside for the winter under 3 feet of snow until the very late spring thaw the next year.
Convince yourself you did Step Four on purpose.
Plant with fuschia pink Geraniums and a Lobelia called Sky Blue.
Admire Mother Nature’s handiwork, because you had absolutely nothing to do with it.
There you have it… my distressed planter in seven easy steps, and it only took 11 months.
I said it was easy… I didn’t say anything about it being quick. lol.
Plant something pretty today… and smile!
